We had the chance to test the EV9 for several hours on a local freeway and found it to be a breeze to drive and comfortable for long distances. The ride is smooth and smooth over bumps and ruts, while the EV9 does a great job of suppressing wind and road noise on the highway. The acceleration is extremely quick and the vehicle has adjustable regenerative braking that allows "one pedal driving" by taking off the accelerator.

GreenPower produces approximately 10 EV Star busses a month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority. The Jacksonville Transit Authority is replacing their older diesel vehicles fleet with 100 all-electric cars. GreenPower will increase production to meet the demand of the Biden Administration who is planning to electrify all school buses in America. Their EV Star bus is the first of its kind to be Altoona-tested and FMVSS-certified, Buy America compliant and ADA conforming. This will make them eligible for federal transit grants.
